Anyone else had a G4S man with t-shirt and badge turn up unnanounced on this bank holiday wanting to read the electricity meter without an appointment or such?
I did a quick google and see that G4S do have some contracts for meter readings, but no one told us. Maybe I am oversensative due to our recent burglary, but if Scottish Power want to read our meters then they can call first.
Of course I did not let him in.

I'm surprised that they don't wear something branded as Scottish Power. The Accuread team that work on behalf of EON wear their red branded fleeces.
Might be worth suggesting it to them via their customer feedback channels.

Actually I had a good chat to the chap on the phone yesterday - mildly embarrassed that I had no idea G4S did meter readings. He was apologetic that I was alarmed and I was apologetic that I sent the man packing. I know now and so do they.

Amazed that G4S can find time to do undercover work for Scottish Power.
Have they no Angolan refugees to deport?
Shouldn't they be saving their manpower for London's next Olympics? These things don't happen overnight, as they should know by now.
