I'd recommend Nomad too, http://www.nomadtravel.co.uk/findus.aspx?store=Nomad%20Turnpike%20Lane
Nomad are good
I went to Sri Lanka before and vaccinations are not really needed. I came out alive anyway!
If you need a tour company and accommodations, let me know i can advise a few good ones for you! Affordable and cheap!
Hep A and typhoid plus you should be up to date on the normal British vaccinations such as tetanus and polio (they generally require a ten year booster vaccination so if you've not had anything since your teens, you might need one)
Nomad are good and can advise on everything. You can get the polio and tetanus top up for free on the NHS though so worth phoning your GP surgery - usually a nurse will run a vaccination clinic.
Unless you are going somewhere really remote, you shouldn't need rabies. It only means you have more time to get to a hospital if you get bitten, it doesn't make you immune.
ah Sri Lanka, quite possibly my favourite holiday ever! Went for a fortnight two years ago, we got everything we needed including Hep A and typhoid for free at the GP - so maybe they've changed the allowances or something. What you need does depend on whereabouts you are going - I also took anti-malarials which you can buy really cheaply at the chemist - about £3 a pack. Chemist will advise. Enjoy - it really is an amazing country.
