I'd Be Happy if the BBC moved back to N10, though they would
have massacred Muswell Hill with a plethora of nasty corporate
architecture.

Did they ever leave? Half the big houses on Woodland Gardens etc are still in BBC people ownership.

I've seen Peter Capaldi, alias Malcolm f*****g Tucker, wandering round Crouch End a couple of times.  The was also a rumour a while back that Matt Smith was buying a house in Crouch End, but the Tardis didn't land here!

Pretty sure I've seen him in the Virgin gym  in the past.

For avid followers of Non-Celeb Creative Professionals sighted in Harringay, Anthony of AntWhy has just paid me his bi-monthly visit and left my Wightman Road windows sparkling as usual.

Back in the 50s my old mum set much store by the fact that down at 86 Frobisher we were N8 and so posh compared to youse lot down in sad old N4. The fact that we were also only a decent stone throw from N22 didn't seem to worry her. Of course back then the name mattered more than the post code since London was one of few cities WITH post codes. Then came the re-org and the GLC and suddenly everyone wanted to know WHERE Haringey/Harringay was. We ( I was a reporter on the old Hornsey Journal; - big sales/ big rep) had a hell of a job hanging on to Harringay as the world suddenly wanted it all called Haringey. There being no real justification for either I ALWAYS say Harringay - Manor House to Turnpike Lane, Wightman Road to West Green and St Annes - and yah boo sucks as we also said too often!
