Please come to a public meeting on Monday, to show your support as we invite local people to register their support to buy 'THE ANTWERP ARMS' to be run by the community for the community as a community owned pub, with the talent and creativity of local people and award winning real ales brewed in Tottenham.
THIS IS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL PEOPLE TO REALISTICALLY OWN THEIR VERY OWN PUB!
MONDAY 22ND JULY

Wan't to know more before Monday's BIG meeting?
How about a lovely stroll in the beautiful Bruce Castle Park?
In the blazing hot sunshine on SUNDAY ( 21st July)?
Well from 11.00am on Sunday you can meet team members who will be able to answer questions and give you a leaflet...And then why not pop in and have a look at the 'ANTWERP' pub that we are trying to buy whilst supping an ice cold refreshing drink of your choice...mmmmm
Hi Pam,
I will be late for the meeting today, but see you in the Antwerp Arms later. A friend of mine knows of someone who started a community pub in Staffordshire and their application was successful. All the paper work has to be 100% first time round. She could get you in touch with him. Might be good to have an email account, not everyone is on Facebook. Hopefully speak tonight.
Hi - Thank you for your reply, we would be very grateful for any advice your friend can give us...we look forward to meeting you at the pub, we have got an email address ...
antwerparmsassociation@gmail.com
See you later!
Hi - Thanks Sean, Very grateful for that -
WOW WHAT A NIGHT!.....
Nearly one hundred people turned up to tonight's meeting....
And a show of hands revealed that nearly all are a hundred percent behind the project....
A big thank you to everyone that made the effort to support the meeting on such a hot day...
We've started the petition "Haringey Council: Stop The Antwerp Arms Pub being developed as Housing" and need your help to get it off the ground.
What is happening to this excellent initiative some 2 months on?
Are you making progress to creating a small management board and setting up a guarantee company to own either a very long lease or better, the freehold?
It would be helpful to know exactly where the pub is, for those of us on the other side of the borough, but hopefully there is some progress.
Good beer, decent reasonably priced wine, good soft drinks and coffee for drivers, decent snacks and simple meals, is a formula that should always work.
We were only listed on Monday 9th September as an asset of community value, up to this point our hands were tied and there was nothing we could do, we are going to organise a general meeting for everyone but until then please follow us on Facebook...Your support is much appreciated. This project has just begun and the fight goes on!
