Deafening music on the Ladder
Anyone else been woken up this morning by someone having party and/or playing really loud music? We're in Falkland Road and it sounds like it's coming from Effingham/Wightman Road area. Cannot believe how selfish some people are - it's the hottest night of the year, so everyone's sleeping with their windows open, and they decide to put on what sounds like a trance festival! Been up with three-year-old since 5am.
I called Haringey Council Environmental Services but that was a complete and utter waste of time. There is no 24-hour call-out for noise abatement – there's not even a 24-hour phone number any longer, you have to go through council switchboard – and there's no one on duty now until 8am.
So I called the police on 101, which I didn't want to do because they've got better things to do. But they were very gracious – I guess they're used to people calling about noise complaints if the council can't help.
The music's still playing though!

I got up at 5:45AM as I had a race (cycling that is) early the other side of London and I could hear the base of Loud Techno music from Abbotsford Ave!!!! As I went out the door on my bike I had no idea where it was coming from, very interesting that it was coming from quite so far away!

I was up at 5.30 for a cycle ride (not with William though!) and could hear this all the way over on Hermitage Road! All we could hear though was the endless beat... If it woke you up, no chance of getting back to sleep.
On a separate note, I am impressed that I so accurately described it to friends as a 'techno' beat. Take that, youth!
