There are plenty on a large bush overhanging the pavement on Burgoyne - on the left going down the hill after the new river.
Last year we picked lots along the New River. This year we went a little early but managed to get enough. You could also get lots in St Ann's Hospital grounds.
I also think that most people who have it in their front gardens do not pick the flowers so you could always just ring on a door bell and ask if it's ok.
You need to pick very soon. They're already past their best by a week or two. We picked the ones at the back of the basketball courts in Finsbury Park last weekend. Parkland Walk has some (between F/Park and Blythwood Road) but the low hanging flowers have been snaffled.
I always used to get mine from Parkland Walk but London ones are always so early...they'll taste a bit manky if you picked them now. I got mine this year from the garden we've been given to develop - three small tress but was enough for 4 litres of cordial :)
