Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

hi,

We will be homeless in three weeks and need to find new premises so we can start the cafe up again for september.

If anyone knows of anywhere with a kitchen and hall available for a community project then please let us know and  please spread the word locally.

We would like it to be ideally around the local area- Harringay, west green, South tottenham etc....

Thanks for any help in this search .

Renee and Kate.

or the Markfield centre in Markfield Park
Maybe the Salisbury could be persuaded to open early and let you into their kitchen/back room?
Or the space above Mattison Road swimming pool? (Currently managed by South Harringay Junior School) not sure if it has catering facilities.

yes  i had the same thought ...?

Salisbury would be perfect!

Have messaged you a suggestion.

In a similar vein, BGORUG is looking for a meeting room (preferably free!) with room for an absolute maximum of 50 people, very close to South Tottenham, Harringay Green Lanes or Crouch Hill stations. Meetings would be between 2 & 4 times a year. Any suggestions?

You could try the laundry community centre on sparsholt road, n19 (just round the corner from crouch hill station (2 mins away). They have a hall that would fit that many.

Hi Kate & Renee!

I know this a bit far away from your current area but what about Shropshire hall? They have a kitchen in the children's centre. They used to have an awesome cafe there that was well attended and has a playroom attached!

Also Russell Park has a kitch with is currently only being used on a tuesday but your dining would have to be outdoors..

Also, What's happening with that flash new building in Lordship Rec. That park is gorgeouls and desperately need a good cafe like yours!

Sonia

thanks  did not know about either of those x

Why are you having to leave?

It's a bit ironic that you are being made homeless by the Salvation Army (or do they not own the premises?)

yes it is ! They do own the building but need to  make the building pay its own way more and we dont fit into that equation :(

You took the words right out of my mouth!
