Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone recommend a vet in the N15 area?  We've got a cat needs chipping and it would be good to have her registered somewhere locally 'just in case'.

One with parking, or no on-road restrictions, preferred.

Thanks,

Ali

Hi, we just took our cat to Zasman vets - there's four branches (I went to Stroud Green one, but look up http://www.zasmanvet.co.uk/homepage for all details). Very reasonable too - brand new vaccinations (first and second booster included in price) plus general checkup and claw clipping for £42. Also, really, really lovely nurse and although it was a stand-in vet, he was great too. Very calm, friendly and informative. You can park right outside but it's a pay machine - about 20p per 10 minutes or something - I put in 45 minutes to be sure and was fine.

Hope this helps!

It may be a bit far out, but the vet we use is on Alexandra Park Road, N10 - parking for free in nearby streets, reasonable prices, lovely vet and open until 7pm, as well as a Saturday surgery.

Or, the new Pets at Home off Colney Hatch Lane (Friern Barnet) has a vet inside, loads of free parking as it's on a retail park and they often have special offers on Chipping.

Abbeyvet in Stamford Hill has always been fine when we've been there - very easily reached from N15 too

Parking at AbbeyVet - there is some restricted-hours parking on the high rd, but I usually went for a side road - coming from Tottenham, turn left at the big tile place and go right-right to come into the road nearest the vet (they are one-way). Or use Morrisons opposite, though that means crossing the road carrying the cat box. Or it's on loads of bus routes.

Thanks all, most helpful.  Think we're going to go with Abbey.

I can also recommend Zasman on Hornsey High St.  My cat is registered there and they were terrific.  The vet took great lengths to explain what was going on with the cat's ailment and how best to treat him.  When I visit my GP he gives me 5 seconds, only half listens and throws antibiotics at me.  Zasman spent bout 20 mins explaining what was wrong with the moggy (he even drew diagrams!) and generally showed great care.  I guess ya get what ya pay for!

Hello,

Abbeyvet on Blackstock Road would be the vets that I would recommend.

The staff are lovely and seem so caring and genuine.

As I don't drive, I can't comment about the parking but for friendliness and "bedside manner" you really can't go wrong.

They have looked after my cats for the past 10 plus years and I can honestly say that I've always been happy with their service, and that includes when things don't always have the most positive of outcomes.

Give em a go! Don't think that you will be disappointed.

She's not in N15 but Mina up at Alexandra Park Road Veterinary Surgery is great! Telephone 020 8444 0119. She seems to really care about animals. We've used a lot of local vets and she's the best!

Thank you all, lots of useful replies here :)

Zasman Hampstead are fab - esp Chloe. I quite often drop in and you never have to wait. Seem cheaper than some others too. You can park for free outside the Crouch End one!
