A Peek Inside Tootoomoo Crouch End
I was up at Tootoomoo having a bite to eat and chatting with owner Philip McGuinness the other day about his 20% off advert on HoL (eyes right) and commented that I liked the decor inside Tootoomoo.
Given my predilection for photographing everything at the moment, I asked if I could take some pictures to post on HoL. What follows was the result. It's unusual inside. I like it. (One day I'll figure out how to get the camera to stay level!!)
I didn't have time to set up for food pictures, but here's what I ate (not my pictures) - and very yummy it was too.

If you've been reading HoL for a while, you'll know that I have a soft spot for Asian food. All these dishes hit the spot for me. Great lunchtime browsing food. I often order soft shell crab hand rolls in a sushi bar, so I was fascinated to try the mix of the little critters with the Jalapeno dip. It worked a treat.
The meat just fell off the salty spicy ribs (and gave me the excuse I needed to grab a cold lunchtime beer!). And the duck salad? Apparently it's one of Tootoomoo's best sellers. I get why - very moreish.
(Disclaimer: Yes, Tootoomoo are advertising with HoL right now, but my praise for what I ate and for the decor is unsponsored!)

Any chance of you guys delivering to N15 in the future?
I've heard a few complaints on the grapevine that you don't, which is a real shame when there are already relatively few decent take-away options locally. I've visited the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed it, but would be more inclined to return if you'd also deliver to us!

If you want to have a go at making the Duck and Watermelon salad Morley Butchers had the recipe on their blog. Have tried at Tootoomoo - very good but keen to try this at home.

Just finished a plate of those soft shell crab critters with jalapeño aioli. It's another addiction to go alongside my currently insatiable appetite for lamachun.
