Having seen the 'Closed for Decoration' signs up at Obergine last week, I popped in to the print shop to ask owner Cemil what was up. Cemil wasn't there but one his team confirmed the cafe had been sold. He wasn't sure to whom.

Hard shakes are awesome (All Star Lanes do them).
I'd vote Fish and Chips for sure, on the assumption it's good of course! Especially if there's nice seating too. We sometimes schlep up to Toff's in Muswell Hill for their excellent Fish and Chips, but also for the general atmosphere and seating. If we could have that on the strip it would be excellent. Oh, and to make it holy grail good, it would be BYO too, so I could bring a first class bottle of Mersault to drink with it. Come on!
If the fish and chips shop did fish and chips like Golden Union, there's no choice for me - hands down, by a furlong winner would be fish and chips!
A fish and chip shop is certainly better than another chicken shop too!
Unless you find this happening in there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc0IUaVuhS8
That may be less of a pipe dream than you imagine........
Although I'm keen on the fish and chips option, good tapas would of course be welcome on the strip too. But I'm not sure about the fizzy pink and chorizo mix Judith!
I quite like it.
Not a big fish&chips fan but I have to admit that all three options sound good. Why not running an online/offline survey to let more people express their preference? And maybe help Cemil decide.
If you like the idea, I volunteer to put something together to install outside the shop in oder to get people's preference.
Food - most pleasant
Service - most inconsistant
I welcome the change in whatever form it may come
