Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

bumblebee nest

Hi, We are getting some work done on our loft and the builders have found a bumblebee nest. We are currently having the nest safely removed but I was wondering if there was anyone local, with an interest in bees, that would be able to give us some advice and make sure we are doing the right thing.

who's taking the bees away (alive I presume)? they should probably be hived

Hi, We used a local pest control guy but I made sure he followed all the instructions for removing and relocating the nest safely and without harming the bees. We also got some advice from the Bumblebee conservation trust on how to do this.

Thanks, we managed to get some advice on how to do this without harming the bees too much. Shame we had to move it at all (as we previously had no idea it was there) but the builders needed it removed to do their work.
