Sabri, owner of Selale with Shef, boss of the Harringay Traders Association
As a taste of things to come this year, Harringay Traders Association boss Shefik Mehmet got down and dirty creating new flower displays in window boxes outside Selale restaurant this week.
"Harringay is going to be even more beautiful after this year", said Shef beaming with pride. "I'm stealing a march on the official regeneration and making a start already. This area between Alison Road and St Ann's Road is going to benefit from the pocket parks funding. It's going to very green....and wonderful!".
Standing outside Selale, I noticed that finally Sabri has been able to fling open his huge windows, giving the restaurant an almost open-front feel. Nice!

When it's sunny it's just like being in a Mediterranean beach resort.
Just a load of pebbles and some seaweed should do the trick if you're going for authenticity.
