Dog rescue in the area?

Hi, not quite what you had in mind but you could always help people find their lost dogs out on the streets simply by looking at DogLost.co.uk and seeing what dogs have gone missing in the area... its a fantastic organisation run by volunteers

Also the Cinnamon Trust is a great charity to volunteer for. www.cinnamon.org.uk It helps elderly people with pets. If you become a volunteer, you might get called by the charity to see if you can help out walking their dog if the elderly person can't manage or taking their dog to the vet.

Yes it's a great charity! I'm a volunteer and they need more volunteers nationally, particularly in London. They just call you up occasionally if someone needs help where you live and see if you're available. If you become a member, they send you newsletters with lovely stories of people who've been helped and photos of their cats and dogs. It's good because pets are particularly important to elderly people as a companion and it takes away any worries if they are ill. Also the Cinnamon Trust rehomes their pet if the elderly person dies.
