Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Send coffee to Haringey Council offices
Last week Haringey Council sent me my visitor permits - except they forgot to put any postage on the envelope so I had to go to the sorting office (now all the way in Tufnell Park) and pay for it myself (plus an extra £1 for the privilege). They were apologetic when I told them what had happened, and have sent me extra vouchers as compensation.
But this week I got a letter from another department saying "Please see attached "No Junk Mail" stickers as requested" - except the envelope didn't contain any!
What's going on over there in Wood Green? Is it just me being singled out for this exceptional service?

Gina, this is almost certainly a sudden poltergeist visit. Because I'm sure it's never happened before. But I may be wrong. (I often am.) So just in case, don't send coffee. Poltergeists love coffee.
Instead, as well as posting on HoL, can I suggest you email Cllr Nilgun Canver the "cabinet" member whose "portfolio" includes Parking and Environmental Services. I gather that the Dear Leader will again appoint Nilgun to this job at tonight's Council AGM. nilgun.canver@haringey.gov.uk
( Yup. That's how it works in Haringey. The Dear Leader is voted in by the Labour councillors for four years, and Cllr Kober then picks her courtiers.)
