You could try Dave (pronounced Dah-vay). Not sure if he delivers or not, but if he doesn't he'll probably know who does. It would be great if you could let us all know either way.
UPDATE: Apparently neither Dave's nor anywhere else does deliveries in Harringay (sign of the times), but Dave's will save you a copy behind the counter if you'd like them to.
No - thats no good - need a delivery for a housebound person :(
I only want a Saturday paper put therough her door nr Sainsburys each week- any ideas anyone?
Hi Lisa,
I think you can get direct (ie: from the newspaper rather than a shop) delivery if you are within the M25, although you might need to subscribe for more than one day per week. I know the Guardian/ Observer will do just Sat and Sun deliverys. Good luck,
Joanna
Hi Lisa
As another largely housebound disabled person, I'd love to know if you get anywhere with this.
Many thanks
Libby
When I moved here three months ago I searched for a newsagent on Green Lanes/West Green Road within walking distance (cos you have to pay them some time) but no luck. Very sad, as I prefer to support local shops, but I'm about to sign up to the Guardian centralised delivery. Less localism, more traffic emissions. If anyone finds one who'll deliver to Woodlands Park area I'd be grateful to know. I'm lucky not to be housebound, but hoped having breakfast while reading today's paper could be part of my retirement schedule! Good luck to Lisa and Libby, as your need is much more important.
Thanks all - there is a definate gap in the market here - prhaps an enterprising person or shop will take on a delivery round covering Harringay. :)
Out of interest - how much would you be prepared to pay over and above the cost of the paper to have your paper delivered?
