Does anyone else have resident drug dealers in their street? We usually some hanging out in a car doing their business there or even dealing in my front garden or hanging around outside.
They don't bother me except for the noise and the idea that punters are hanging around my door at 2am.
Is this happening anywhere else in Harringay ?

As you can see, I was addressing Anette, not you :) Don't worry!
Here's a paper from the Cato Institute about Portugal's success in case anyone fancies reading up on the topic a bit more: http://www.cato.org/doc-download/sites/cato.org/files/pubs/pdf/gree...
I really should bow out of this discussion now, so I shall!
Really IN your garden? Not just in front of it? I don't know of any houses on the ladder that have room left in their front gardens for any kind of socialising, let alone drug dealing.
A few years ago there was a drug house in our road. It was not nice - the bottom line was discarded needles in the street, ditto used condoms as a result of prostitutes, punters etc. The situation can escalate (an did, big time)
I have some sympathy with the plight of these people. But it's entirely possible there is more than a bit of cannabis being sold on the street.
Neil, just keep an eye on the situtation and keep on contacting the police.
I think you should find out wot drugs they are selling, as they will shine light upon possible trouble seaming from it and if its morally correct to get the police involved.
Personally, I wouldnt give the police a bonus by getting a cheap arrest for selling some weed.
Nor would I personally, get them involved to sort out the problem.
Dont paint these people as monsters.....they are human beings.....they might not be nice ones, they might have metal issues or a deep capitalist mindset. But if you want to change this....speak to them.....dont shun them and treat them like scum.....your just making it worse, that way.
Being Human.....take control of your own life and the community you live in. - dont pass the buck
