This petit objet is on offer on ebay at the moment. But, really? A Harringay Crest? I've never seen one before. Can anyone cast any light on the matter? Or, is it just a fake crest?

Strange!
This is the nearest thing I could find...

That looks like the crest for Essex.
I spotted it too and did a small amount of digging. Apparently the company that made it (EB & Co, which stood for E Brain & Co, a Staffs pottery based in Fenton) did a range of such things called "The Dainty Ware" (not Dainty Wade, as in the eBay item description) and made them with different town/city/county crests on, presumably as some kind of souvenir or patriotic (or whatever the city equivalent is) item. Brain got eaten up (pardon the pun) by Wedgwood and is/was marketed under the Coalport brand. So, it was possibly mass-produced, as much as such things were, and from similar items I've seen on the internet, probably dates from the 20s or 30s, though I'm no expert. I have no idea about the crest, though!
Harringay's Great Crested Tat. Spring is on the way.
