I just got an email about this scheme:
"apply for a Mayor of London Capital Clean-up grant to help tidy up a local green space or waterway. You can apply for a cash grant of between £500 - £2,000, or a Capital Clean-up Kit with all the info and equipment you need to get going."
See: http://london.groundwork.org.uk/what-we-do/major-initiatives/capita...
Couldn't we do that for something around here?

That's what I thought too but we'd have to get one of the local friends groups or the traders to apply. I wonder if Matt could store the kit at the school...
Or just start our own new group? How hard can that be? Would be handy to have a bank account for the community gardening thing too, and Thames Water have said they'd prefer to have some more formal group than just a bunch of HoLers to talk to about the New River 400th anniversary in Harringay.
Would either of you or anyone else join as an officer?
