Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just discovered i have become a victim of online fraud! some indivuaul(s) decided to shop online at my expence, even giving a delivery address?, i have spoken to the Met who informed me that pay-pal would have to investigate initally but considering the goods have been requested next day delivery would it not have made more sense for the police to check it out? incidently no one knows my acc.details with pay-pal.

Paypal is normally pretty secure. I wonder if you have been tricked into revealing your account details, by responding unwittingly to a phishing expedition? Do you remember responding to a unexpected email from PayPal in the last week or so?

Thats what i thought! But no i have not recieved anything from Paypal which required any personal info so i am amazed this could happen and it was only by chance yesterday evening whilst checking e-mails that i had recieved a reciept from paypal for yesterdays transaction..obviously giving me details of purchase which was bought on e-bay and delivery address .

You should be ok (eventually)....someone bought a Mac Pro on my Ebay account using my Paypal about 2 years ago. The seller got in touch with me checking how I would like it delivered so I then realised what was going on and the whole transaction got stopped. However Paypal had to pay the money out (putting a debit on my paypal account)whilst they investigated the whole thing. After about a week or 2 they then credited this back and the whole think was resolved. I had to change both passwords but that was about it as far as I can remember. The good thing about Paypal is that if its fraudulent you won't be liable and you'll get your money back. Good Luck...Its a really annoying thing to happen!!

Thank you Lona i am sure it will be ok it is just so annoying ! have changed passwordsetc and removed my card from the acc.for now.
