I want to share my enjoyment of a blogger called Diamond Geezer. I know nothing about him except that he left a village in Hertfordshire ten years ago and came to live in East London. Though his pieces can be about anywhere in London. He takes photos, writes intelligently and with wit. And always has an interesting slightly quizzical take - whether he's walking the entire length of the Regent's Canal or dashing round Open Houses.

When he likes something - e.g. the Olympics - his pleasure shines through. But if he's critical he doesn't soft pedal. For instance the Water Chariots boat service on the Lea from Tottenham Hale went bust. It was planned to run during the Olympics and beyond. Diamond Geezer followed the story.

Thanks for sharing this with us Alan. He is a real Diamond Geezer, very easy to read. And when it comes to the Water Chariots I wonder who didn't see that coming when they annouced the price of the tickets?
