Tottenham Hale Retail 'Park' is jammed today. So someone somewhere is having a shopping frenzy already.

But it was jammed last Saturday and on Sun 9th, last day of the longer hours.  I don't think that's Chritmas shopping just yet.  LIDL is only up to Haloween.  More like browsing there, maybe?

Go up the road and the dreaded IKEA is always packed on Saturdays and Sundays.

I saw mince pies in M&S when going through London Bridge after going to the Paralympics... :-O

Mince Pies are a bit like Hot Cross Buns; they have become all year round fodder at some shops.  It has become a multi-ethnic 'food market', so seasonal goodies available all year round.  I can cope with mince pies?  It is the Christmas Glitter that irritates me, and Marks & Sparks have got Christmas cakes in now.  No wonder the icing is so rock hard and virtually inedible.  I've got a cake from last Christmas that was so hard and yukky I never eat it.  Must take it back to Customer Services ... !

@ Paul:  Down with this .... is that down the hatch or banishment from your household!?
