Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Noise from Burgoyne/Cavendish

Does anyone know where the sawing / grinding noise is coming from at the top of these roads?

It is sounds like angle grinding!

Has been going on for quite some time.. is it a business as I know there is a garage at the top of Burgoyne Rd but it doesn't sound like something they would be doing.

It sounds more like woodworking in a back garden

It annoys us greatly so I am sure their immediate neighbours must be driven mad by it

I've heard it a few times soon and I am right at the bottom end by Green Lanes.

I assumed it was some building work - I don't think it is the garage.

I don't know what it is, but I hear it all the time and I'm in Duckett Road and it drives me crazy! I don't know if this is related, but you might have seen a post headed Noise in Neighbourhood Issues 24th July which was about metal grinding in Umfreville Road. I think Karen Alexander was going to take it up with the council so maybe she would help or know more.

I think it might be coming from a house on Duckett that is being renovated. They've been having loads of work done over the last couple of months. It's the house right beside the New River.

Just saw you posted this about a month ago. I can't believe this work is still going on!! Its so noisy, really hope it is finished soon.
