Just had the latest update from The Manifesto Club, which I am a member of. This issue focussed on its new 'Banned in London' website, which highlights all the different bans being operated by various councils.
http://www.bannedinlondon.co.uk/map.html
One interesting thing the map shows is that there is a leaflet ban along the entire Haringey length of Green Lanes. These extend to 50 metres off all side roads. There are also several no alcohol zones and also dog exclusion and dispersal zones too.
What the map also shows is the low level of enforcement of these zones too.

That IS interesting! The amount of junk mail i received when I lived on the Ladder was crazy.
NO LEAFLETING A council licence is required to hand out leaflets in this area
Borough: Haringey
No leafleting zone: Green Lanes N4 N8 N15
Number of on-the-spot fines: Borough total 1
Details: The restriction applies to all side turnings off the road to a distance of 50 metres from the junction with the road.
So not only are all the fast food places and taxi firms breaking the law, they should be fined too. I wonder why no-one's bothered to report and enforce (and fine, to get some money in!)?
I recently did and am awaiting a reply.
