Geranium Freak
If anyone spots some new red geraniums in their neighbour's garden or bin today can they let us know...
Last night between 11pm and 6am a rather strange person went into our front garden on Lothair Road South and pulled up several geraniums and snapped those that were remaining. Not sure if they were after the plants for themselves or whether somehow the plants had offended them.
Be good to know where they live in order to retrieve said geraniums and explain that if they want cuttings just to knock on the door, but also as this person clearly needs help!

We didn't, but the damage is too great and the breaks too clean to be an animal (unless it was someone dressed in a squirrel costume - wouldn't put it past this strange person!!)

This reminds me of a HoL post last year (?) where someone's front yard shrub - roses? - had been systematically denuded of all its flowers - suggestions were that this was likely to have been a human with issues /on a bad trip rather than squirrels etc. Anyone recall this? Where was it?

I've noticed quite a few times particular women walking along residential streets picking flowers from people's front gardens, as though it's a very common and accepted thing to do. The women i've seen do it are of a romany appearance, but i don't know exactly. I even saw a woman with her two children creating a huge posey as she went along, with the children holding carrier bags filling up with stolen flowers! I can't explain the geranium incident though!!! Must have smelt lovely though, all those stalks being broken in half!!!
