No, but I'd love it if there was! I will never be an Olympic athlete, but toe tapping I sure can do! Look forward to hearing of there are any...

The Salisbury used to have an excellent night about once a month on a Saturday night where they would have a one-hour class and then a band would play and everyone would dance. It was amazing. All these professionals would show up dressed up in proper outfits. They really looked the part. It really felt like you were going back to the era - men would just ask the women to dance and if you felt like joining in you could. Nothing sleazy about it! Great night out. I haven't seen it advertised recently so I'm not sure if it still goes on. But I would be really interested in something like this

Checkout Mouthful O'Jam , it looks like they're back at the Salisbury on 1 September, and have a beginners lesson at the start of the evening.  Their dance teacher, Gaia, used to run Thursday night classes at the Salisbury.  Not sure when/if they will restart, but her email address is on the website.  She's a great teacher, and teaches blues as well as Lindy Hop/Swing.   Otherwise, Swing Patrol classes are in Newington Green on Thursday which is only a bus ride away.

Also, I'm interested in learning more blues dancing but find Swing Patrol's night in Soho far too crowded!

Yes Mouthful O'Jam! That's what I went to at the Salisbury. Good to know they're back. Will have to check it out in September. I haven't been to Swing Patrol. Can you just turn up?

Swing Patrol - yes, they're all drop-in classes.  When I went along to the Monday night class in Green Lanes a while back it was unexpectedly cancelled, so best to check on their website and facebook page on the day.  Also, check out their Red Rhythm social dance in Exmouth Market.

I used to take Gaia's classes in Lindy Hop and Charleston at the Salisbury and she's great

Yes know Mouthful an d Gina well - she has done some damage to her knee so will not be doing the Thursday classes for a while - but do believe that the once a month is still going on-  check out the website
