Mugging in Langham Place
I just wanted to let everyone know to be careful coming out of Turnpike Lane tube, as I was mugged in Langham Place on Friday night (at about 1.20am after watching the opening ceremony in town). A girl walking along just after me also got mugged, and the police told us that a man was mugged on Sirdar Road later that night. There were 2 guys and one came from in front of me and one behind. Please be careful coming out of the tube late at night, particularly if you're walking by yourself.

I hope you're not too shaken, and thanks for letting us know. I live on Sirdar Rd and so need to be extra cautious, but wouldn't have known if I hadn't read this thread.
There have been quite a few crimes around the tube station - the shooting, and apparently a woman was raped in the short walk through from the station to westbury avenue. And now these muggings. I've spoken to the police directly about the need to get more lighting around the station and make it safer, would be good to know if anything is happening. If the police community team are signed up here can they let us know?
