Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The transformed and extended William Morris Gallery will re-open its doors to the public this week on Thursday, August 2.

Closed for the past year, remodelling has added three new exhibition galleries, including one for temporary exhibitions, as well as a library, a research and education centre, and a tearoom overlooking Lloyd Park. The building is now fully accessible with a lift to all floors.

Bus 123 from Wood Green passes the Gallery or travel via London Overground from Harringay Green Lanes to Blackhorse Road and then it's 20-minute walk along Forest Road to the Gallery or take bus 123 opposite the station about three stops to the Gallery.

Good news. I remember going there as a student and this makes me think it's time for another visit.

Even in my pre-feminist days (yes there were some) we noted that tho WM got the credit, the phenomenal amount of stitching work was done by wives and daughters.  Hope that's been noted in the new displays.

Or the Victoria Line to Blackhorse Road/ Walthamstow Central : )
