Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Greyhounds, Jam, Cakes, Balloons, Bonhomie (& a new organic cafe on Green Lanes)

It was great to see all the people who came along last night. What a great night. What great vibes. We had loads of residents (and some residents to be) along and also representatives from the traders and the mayor.

@harringayonline OK its blury - but it's happy and that was last night. Great to meet people at last

I imagine there'll be a few sore heads today, but it was a really nice night last night.

Thanks to Anna for arranging things and buying a cake and balloons:

to Rob from Tao Sports for making me a special one off T-shirt (it even had a number 5 on the back for 5 years old!):

and to Dick for the Harringay jam, made with Harringay plums in Harringay:

Oh, yes....and that new cafe. A few months back I had an email from a guy called Steve, at the time based in Denmark. He was wondering if I could help point him in the right direction for a premises that might work for an organic cafe in Harringay. I had a few tips then pointed him towards the man with the plan, Rob Chau. It was great to meet Steve last night. His business partner was there too, but sadly I didn't get a chance to chat with him. (However, a chat he had with Jessica may mean that we have a Danish stall in the market before long!)

As of last night, the runes for the cafe are apparently looking good.

"Annivarsary"?

Yes. The cake maker was from Kentucky. Where's your MI? (Multicultural Intelligence)

Sorry I couldn't be there, I was at a really terrible play in the West End...

Was so upset I couldn't make it. Sadly I've not been well these past couple of weeks so not been out as much as I'd have liked. Hope I get another chance to meet people soon and so glad it went well :-)

Thanks Hugh. It was great to put faces to names last night after following other Harringay Online members. My partner Kim came along last night(the chap you didn't get to speak to) as well as our friend Alistdair who also lives locally, but my business partner Linda could not make it last night, and hopefully you will meet soon. We are still hoping to open an indepedant cafe on Green Lanes, which is proving to be very difficult but Rob from Tao Sports has been trying to help us...so watch this space.

Thanks for uncrossing a few wires there, Steve.

Andreas Michlii's ? The corner layout would be amazing for a cafe and all the passing traffic to and from woodlands park nursery would put it on parents radar + space to do events and workshops etc.  Bit like the corner cafe in Newington green- only harringay stylie + room for organic food shop too.

That's my perfect plan for the space anyway. I think it could be amazing.  And it would be a lovely way to build on Andeas' legacy to the area.
