Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Did any one capture "Bittern" yesterday morning as it headed north on a special? It left Kings Cross at 08.17 heading for York and beyond. As it is not one of the usual suspects, I went to Kings Cross to see the engine for myself. It was brilliant and I even cabbed it. Here are a few photos. Enjoy.

Stephen,

How do you get to find out the steam trains that are passing through Harringay from Kings Cross. Is there a timetable on a specific website?

Many thanks

Glynn

Not sure how Stephen finds out, but this might help.

Hi Glynn: I check this website:

Hope it helps.

Wonderful atmospheric shots, Stephen! - thanks for sharing.  4464 has been masquerading as 4492 "Dominion of New Zealand" for the past year, but it's great to see her back once again in her true original LNER identity as "Bittern".  I have many happy memories of this iconic locomotive stretching back to the mid-1960s.

Many thanks for the link ( I am resisting the urge to call it the Silver Link!). You and I must be of a similar vintage as I recall many happy days at York and Doncaster stations but in the early 60s. Such innocent pleasures!

Cheers

Stephen

Video of the train here.
