Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Unfortunately the nature of the ladder lends itself to many of the roads being used as a high speed rat run for people cutting through to either Green Lanes or Wightman Road.

We live on Seymour which may be one of the quiter ones, but I still frequently here cars speeding past at all hours of the day and night.

I have two children and there are a lot of cats in the road too. Sadly, as of this weekend there is one less after our dear sweet Elvis (a black & white felix type cat that was a friend to everyone at the top end of the road) was hit and killed.

Please please please if you drive, do it at a reasonable speed. The bumps are there to advise caution. And frankly, if you don't you risk damage to your car and taking a very dearly beloved pet away from its family.

Cost I suppose. That's only one small street, about a third of the length of a ladder road at a guess. Even if the bollards were only installed on the ladder roads I think it would be an improvement.

Has everyone concerned about traffic speed on Wightman signed Karen Alexander's online Petition for a pedestrian crossing on Alroy Rd (the southern end of Wightman)? So many drivers accelerate as they leave the mini roundabout on Endymion and drive like the clappers to try to beat the lights near La Vina. It's a death trap and with no pedestrian crossing south of La Vina, there's nothing to slow drivers down.

For a cautiously non-pedantic, non-semantic answer what can I say but YES ? (I am not speaking for everyone, however.)

OK, who are you, and what have you done with the real OAE?

Should we have a whip-round for the ransom?

Yes please do sign  folks and perhaps ask Karen and the other councillors for some speed calming measures on Endymion Rd too.
