Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Season Kitchen staffer Rosanna is planning to run a charitable 'Pop-up Tea Room' between 2 and 4 pm on 22nd October.

On offer will be a selection of classic black teas, a good green tea and some low/non caffeinated teas for those with a more delicate palate. The rest, we're told, is a surprise.

Rosanna is asking for your baking contributions to add a community spirit to the event. She suggests that those wishing to contribute a cake/tart/treat email her so she has an idea of how many contributions there will be.

If anyone can lend a tea set for the afternoon then Rosanna would also like to hear from you.

Guests will be asked for a 'donation' of £5 to include a tea of your choice, and whatever sweet treat takes your fancy. All takings will be donated to the Metropolitan Support Trust, who are committed to supporting people with adverse personal circumstances or backgrounds to live independent lives, and the Women’s Institute, the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK, who are dedicated to providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills.

Rosanna adds "Feel free to dress for the occasion; I shall be wearing my 1940s style tea dress for good measure, and I hope to see you there!"

I'm taking a lemon polenta cake - is a bit difficult not to eat it for breakfast as it is freshly baked!
