Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I wish Haringey Council would recycle the tons of waste produced daily by catering businesses in Green Lanes. Whilst private homes see their paper, cans and left over food collected for recycling, the Council does not recycle trade waste. Whenever I witness the shop’s waste collected  3-4 times a  week, I am upset at seeing the rubbish truck leave full of recyclable items heading for landfill.

At Cafe Lemon we would be happy to collect and bundle recyclable waste and prepare it for whoever comes and takes it away.

As part of the new partnership with Veolia, Haringey Council does offer Mixed Recycling or Cardboard only collections for all businesses within the borough alongside the General Waste collections, allowing traders to recycle all the materials that they would at home.

We actively encourage participation in our recycling services and along Green Lanes we run a twice daily pre-paid sack collection service, with reduced costs for recycling and cardboard collections. We also offer container collection services for Mixed Recycling and General Waste if this is more suitable.

If you have a moment to drop me an email (andy.lockett@veolia.co.uk) I'll be happy tp explain the services to you in more detail.

Yes,  leftover food from customer’s plates, fruits and vegetables peel , etc...

Well done! I'll come to Cafe Lemon for my tea next time I'm in the area. Are you on Green Lanes anywhere near Green Lanes Station?

Mary

Thank you !
We are not far from Green Lanes Station. We are near Iceland and main Post Office.
