Amidst all the grittier local goings-on today, I thought it might be a good moment to focus on an interesting new shop opening in Crouch End.
My Kind of Coffee is opening n Tuesday along with a roasting warehouse up in Bounds Green. Owner Feyzan Ulker, from Istanbul, previously ran the Cafe Bianco in Hampstead. Wanting a change, he took 18 months in the USA and southern Turkey, thinking about where he wanted to go next.
The result was what looks to be a welcome new busniess in the former jewellery store opposite the Post Office in Crouch End.
I'm liking the look of the decoration - Crouch End meets Carnaby Street. And like our own Gem at the Cafe Lemon, Feyzan has a passion for art. He has a decent collection of originals.
Whilst the focus will be roasting and blending coffee, Feyzan will also be selling some handmade luxury chocolates (I can't remember the supplier's name, I'm afraid). There will also be a few tables and some snacks for sale.
Opening on Tuesday. Tell him we sent you and he'll give you a big kiss!

Amazing tasting coffee and it came with fresh mint water.....that's the way coffee should be served.
Also really nice staff.
