Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Beyond the yakkity-yak, what is happening in London?

Tottenham, Enfield, Brixton, Hackney, Croydon. Now Camden, Ealing, Tower Bridge, Haverstock Hill mentioned......the BBC have just said they can't keep up with it.

Is this just viral madness?

One thing that keeps on poking it's head up is a pattern being reported of young kids being directed by older men. What's that about? The conspiracy theorist in me could come up with a number of possibilities, but I won't.

But this is absolutely extraordinary. I'm not sure I can think of any ther instance of a western city where this has happened before.

Am I dreaming?

I'm sitting here feeling scared as I wait for my husband to  get home from a late shift at work.

It all feels so unreal and I can't quite understand how it has come to this. How have some of our young people got to the point where they feel it is OK to do this?

Let us know if we can help.
Hey, I, too start to feel bit scared as it seems so random.
listening to every little noise, hard to sleep.
However, I refuse to live in fear. then they have won.
Let's keep an eye on our neighbours.
Second that neighbourliness thing. My other half has to get home. Cabs are going to be hard to come by so Iooks like I have to venture out.
Yes. truely said it is that way.
Had just felt safe and happy in London again :-(.
People asking for military to come in?
What is going on? Feel like in a bad movie.
Not that long ago that Paris was burning
What's happened to the cat posts ?
Excellent James! I've been worrying about all those little moggies gone AWOL all weekend. Where have their owners' and support groupies' priorities gone? Some are leading the hang'em flog'em brigade as always but neglecting their dear little pussywussies.

It must be quite a sight if you're in a plane flying over London tonight. Not a very constructive comment I know, just a thought.

Constructive? Who knows. Thought provoking? Certainly. And scary.

Just saw a statement from Diane Abbott on the news. Come on David Lammy, make your voice heard. We should be hearing from you at least daily at the moment.

Still watching the news - terrible. Saw A clip with David Lammy and Nick Clegg in Tottenham earlier today.

London riots are front page news on New york Times and Aussie papers. (((
