Not sure what you mean by that really.

well said Laura W!
What I meant was keep up the entertaining work..
@Stephen: I may have to put you over my knee. You're not too big, you know..

Oh now I get it ... Discipline  .. That's it

Why didn't you tell me before!  :o)

Dear Anette: I have to inform you that some adult males enjoy a good spanking from assertive women and are prepared to pay cash for it (so I understand). It might have been more apposite if you'd threatened Stephen with flogging.

The upshot of all this mayhem, apart from any "justice" for the perpetrators, is that larger firms who've suffered big losses from arson and theft may be in no hurry to rebuild in the current climate. Jobs will be lost. This is a terrible day for the Borough. It is no consolation that in all the circumstances, Grainger might rethink their pursuit of Wards Corner.

@ Clive : what are you suggesting....? :D

sorry..

Ok. If you're trying to imply I'm some rabid right-winger, then I'm afraid you're very wrong . I just based my comments and opinion on a personal experience that had a massive impact on me. It upsets me greatly that people fought hard for fundamental rights and choices in this country that many people elsewhere REALLY don't have - and it seems to me that people here often waste the options they do have. It's just my perspective, I'm not asking you to agree - and I really don't think there's any need for rude put-downs. Thanks.

PS - Ah - I see Anette has already done the spanking ;

The real victims here are the entirely innocent people who have lost their homes, and livelihoods as a result of the rioters' and looters' actions and the escalation of violence last night.

I feel no sympathy for the rioters and looters whatsoever. There is no excuse for this at all.  And yes, they ARE louts and freeloaders.

I don't feel any sympathy for them either. I mean for FFS, they torched an Aldi. Hardly a political act, burning a cut price supermarket? Same goes for burning the small businesses of local people.

This is not 1985 and Broadwater Farm.

Exactly.

Hmm, and looting all the phone shops and queuing outside JD Sports for spoils....
