Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We missed the start of the season, but there's still plenty of good stuff showing in this year's Kenwood Picnic Concerts on Hampstead Heath. The next event is tomorrrow, Gipsy Kings, then on Saturday there's the Kenwood House Sumer Prom

Tickets start at £40 each - Think i'll go see the 'tipsy kings' at the pub
Don't be silly, £40 is quite reasonable. You can take your own wine and food. Music from the movies next weekend!
You can get a ticket in the picnic area for £29.00 to see the Gypsy Kings.  Prices vary for the other concerts but makes a nice night out if the weather holds.

John - I'd love to go to the 'movie music' (don't get me started about movies) concert but at £39.95 per ticket we can't afford it. That's a third of what i live on per week. You folk are in a different league to us (and i'm glad you are, well done)
What does it say about a world where we feel grateful and privileged to consume our own food/drink in a field that is common ground ?
Watching musicians who aren't, James.
Aren't what hugh ? Would you mind for the sake of those just logged on explain a bit what you are talking about  (otherwise it's a series of comments like 'did you ?' or 'that's crap' or 'so did i' which, when you log on to HOL make no sense unless you go back to every thread and read every post)
.....aren't common ground.
I'm not sure how folk here got the impression i was advocating the concerts be completely free - that would be silly.
Guys, I don't get this too expensive thing. You don't have to pay £29 to have a picnic and listen to the music. You can do it for free, as you have always been able to do, from the large lawns in front of the house.
