Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,
Is anyone having problems with Virgin Broadband?
My connectivity light is meant to blink regularly, but at times stays full on or flickers and I cannot get online.
Thinking of changing but to which provider?

Call their helpdesk.

Their help desk is apparently located at an overseas branch of the Comedy Store.

 

They never know what's going on back here in the UK. All they ever say is, 'It must be your modem sir. Have you tried .... '. A computer recording could give that advice.

If you call them during the day you get someone based in the UK.
Our Internet connection has been flaky lately. We seem to have a signal, but no connection. It's not so bad as to be disruptive, merely slightly annoying. I'll phone next week if the problem persists.

It's reasonable, in my opinion, to ask if anyone else is having the same problem before potentially wasting time on the phone, or waiting for an engineer. Though apparently not everyone agrees.
You still have to do the waiting for an engineer, calling them game. They have put too many connections on your local pavement box and you need to convince them to install more equipment, which obviously costs them money.
