Garden Ladder reviewed in today's Standard:
The Garden Ladder is an established part of the Harringay (or Harringay Village for the estate agents out there) drinking scene, providing more of a bar atmosphere than the local rivals.
This former restaurant is quite narrow, but a series of mirrors help it feel wider and a good variety of seating makes clever use of the space, improving the overall look. Elsewhere are some interesting touches, including a glass bar containing dried flowers.
Alan Partridge's favourite Directors Bitter is amongst the drinks options, there is always a guest ale, and the food menu is also worthy of your consideration.
The service, although usually excellent, can become a bit flustered as the staff seem to be trying to juggle more than one task at a time, but this is certainly not enough to discourage us from returning. Still, a great option if you're in the area.
NEAREST STATION: Harringay Green Lanes station
