Mr Lammy this morning on BBC radio 5 moaned that if Spurs moved into Stratford they should change their name as they will no longer be playing in the borough. He moved out of his constituancy but we did'nt call for a new MP. He also harped on about how bad it will be for residents as this is one of the poorest boroughs in the country.
It makes sense traffic wise to move as the infrastructure is at Stratford. If our borough is so poor why did he not object to the council putting up the parking levy by 50%.A move to Stratford will help the councils pollution problem.

Yawn...
There is precedence for requiring a name change for the football club; a team from Woolwich wandered into a new area and had to have a name change!
I'll think you'll find the area where the stadium is located used to be known as 'Channelsea'..
But on second thoughts, a match Channelsea v. Chelsea ? nah, forget it!
The railway goods depot on the site was also known as Channelsea.
"He moved out of his constituancy but we did'nt call for a new MP"
Yes we did, me for one.
The FA stipulates that a football club can move within I think it's thirty miles (or there abouts) of it's founding location unless your club is Wimbledon of course!
I think our MP doth protest too much. In this totally artificial campaign of his he is drawing on his experience as former 'intellectual property minister' in the late Labour administration.
Anyone care to parse that three word phrase?
John I thought you would find this subject boring as you probably know nothing of football.
I think the haringey-crooklyns in the council should allow the new stadium to be built it would be such a boost to the area and make it more attractive so what if the roads get blocked now and then.
People are stupid for not letting it have the go ahead plus think of all the money haringey could make from parking tickets ?
