Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Gee, the last time I bought a bike -- about 10 years ago -- I paid about £200 for a mountain one. The really, really good ones cost around £750. Now, looking around, I see that they go for £0000s. I want a decent men's bike. If you have one if your shed that you don't or rarely use and want to flog it, please let me know. I can pay up to £100, although I'd prefer to pay less (money's tight!). email me justinhinchcliffe@hotmail.com - thanks in advance!

Justin

PS. It has to be road worthy - no good at DIY, especially when it comes to bikes!!!

As a last resort you could try a police auction where they sell unclaimed stuff. I bought my bike there - one bloke I saw landed an expensive-looking mountain bike for seven quid!

The catch: they're in Leytonstone on Thursday mornings (looks like there was one today).
Decent men are few and far between....
Thanks, peeps.
The website doesn't really reflect the stock. I've seen a mint condition Ridgeback for half price at this place in Mornington Crescent

There's also a secondhand bike place around Walthamstow

For auctions, try Frank Bowen.

Sounds like you had better luck at Camden Cycles than me, Sarah! When I went a few weeks back all their bikes were in terrible condition, despite their claim to have serviced them all, and were massively overpriced. The obviously knew nothing about bikes and they struck me as total cowboys. Just my opinion though...
DOH! Cheers Dan. I've recommended the same auctioneer as you :-/ There were quite a few bikes at Camden Cycles to get through until I saw the lovely Ridgeback, but Frank Bowen sounds a better bet.
