Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Some dipstick has decided its a brilliant idea to take both the Piccadilly and Victoria lines down Northbound this weekend and I have mum inlaw and sis inlaw coming down Sunday both wanting to go to Oxford St for a bit of shopping - any ideas on how to get them there by bus fairly painfree from Turnpike lane (I dont mind a bit of bus hopping they might be less keen...)

29 takes you right to Tottenham Court Road - try the TFL website
erm chaps justanote for anyone else thinking of getting the 29 on Sunday according to TFL there is a half marathon taking place somewhere central so it will be subject to severe delays throughout the day
helpful...
It's the Royal Parks Half Marathon, so I imagine that the problem area will be at the terminus in Trafalgar Square, since that's the only bit of the 29 route that goes anywhere near the race.
why not get the 41 to Archway and then the northern line?
if you don't want to get the 29, which is the easiest route, you can get the 19 at Finsbury Park, get off the bus before it turns down Shaftsbury Ave and walk 5mins to Oxford St.
Alternatively, a train to Liverpool Street and then the Central Line should see you right.
wow chaps thanks for the suggestions had no idea there were so many options!!! It goes to show how reliant I am on the tube to get me everywhere.
Sorry wasnt trying to offend there is nothing wrong with the 29 on most days but I have encountered a few excitable people on it.
29 to Tottenhcourt Rd then walk it
