Mein Fuhrer hasn't invited me - maybe an oversight.
For those new to popespotting, look for the SCV1 reg. Maybe it's short for Stato della Civitate Vaticana or Sacra Citta Vaticana or Stato Civile Vaticano or Signor Capo del Vaticano - but generations of Romans know in their hearts it's really Se Cristo Vedesse = If (only) Christ Could See!
(At this moment they're already applying the Papal Signo to the hot wax on the OAE Bull of Excommunication.)

An excellent programme, 'The Trouble with the Pope' presented by Peter Tatchell, just finished on C4. Tatchell had certainly done his homework. I agreed with everything except his last ten words!

You can watch it on 4od for another month. I'm doing that now.
I hear a lot of catholics are now organising themselves outside the church. They still love their faith but not the hierarchy. That could be an interesting development.

Pam, even if we do we'll soon have a new hierarchy. It's human nature - even the Chilean miners trapped on August 5th had begun to grow a hierarchy by August 6th.
