Hornsey Library to close till "next spring"

The adults' library at Hornsey Library is set to close temporarily for essential improvement works.

The closure will begin on November 27 to allow for the strengthening and repair of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in the roof.

Haringey Council has confirmed that the rest of the library, including the children's library, original gallery, and quiet study space, will remain open during the works.

Key services such as book returns, public computers, and a selection of books for borrowing will be relocated elsewhere within the building.

The library is expected to reopen in spring 2027 (fingers crossed!).
