....can anyone recommend the best place to get them between Wood Green & Harringay.

Of late, for any overseas currency needs, we've used Currency Exchange on High Street, Wood Green, just after Nationwide. Whether their rates are any better than the one in Harringay, I don't know. I'm sure a quick call will tell you.
