Alexandra park fully open to public
People will know that Ally Pally is also used by music promotion for profit. Large sections of the park are fenced off. Does anyone know how to find out when the fences care taken down?

There's plenty of park left when they fence off the area for the concerts - and Ally Pally are always really considerate of their neighbours. They make an important profit too that goes towards the upkeep of the palace and grounds.

That's completely untrue. Large parts of the park are forbidden to walkers and no information is provided. Our parks are for public enjoyment and not money making schemes to make up for government policies which deprived local authorities of funds. It's clear you have a history of siding with corporations and cost cutting.

THE council views our Borough through the eyes of an estate agent.
It has lost sight of the purpose of parks. Open spaces are seen as under-used land, ripe for some form of commercial exploitation: hiring out or for development.
The estate agent view has not always been for public benefit. Over one 36-month period, there were a series of irregular property deals that generated losses to public funds of many millions of pounds. Later the subject of an external investigation (the "Buss Report", the full version of which was sent to the Police).
The daddy of the dodgy deals was on the council headquarters: Alexandra House, where the council would later pay double the price that they could have. The minimum loss on that single deal was £6,000,000 paid to a shell company. The valuation for that building is … peculiar.
The council teetered on the brink of bankruptcy and may yet start to use the Government provided Emergency Financial Assistance package: effectively, a huge and expensive overdraft facility that we will pay for. One area that has not been subject to cuts is the pet-project of the leadership: Borough of Culture 2027.

The hill section immediately in front of the palace is fenced off, the rest of the park is open as usual. Plenty of space to walk. There is information on their website and locals have had leaflets giving full detail. I'm on nobody's side, just telling you how it is - the whole of the bottom of the park has remained open as has the lake area, it's a big park there is room for everyone. I see you have an agenda but you're barking up the wrong tree with this one.
