Hauling the 'Jolly Fisherman' to Skegness, live times here. It will return in daylight around 2100, a rare event. You can track its progress here.
Why the 'Jolly Fisherman'? The Great Northern Railway ran excursions to seaside resorts in Victorian and Edwardian times. To advertise them they had posters created, of which the most famous is 'Skegness is so Bracing' with a fisherman skipping along the beach. You can see it and read more here.
As for Tornado, during its protracted overhaul electronics have been installed which work with the new signalling system being installed on the East Coast Main Line, a first for a steam locomotive. There's an article about that here.
A note about arrival times at Harringay after departure from Kings Cross. Most trains take the route through platform 7 at Finsbury Park, which is slow progress caused by limited platform edge clearances so 8 minutes to Harringay on average. However, the train on Sunday 1st June (due 0750, I wrote) left on time at 0745, took the 'fast' line through platform 5 and reached Harringay at 0750 3/4 two minutes ahead of the booked time. The train engine was only medium power, but it was getting firmly shoved by the diesel on the rear. I cut it a bit fine, and saw it but only just.
