Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi. My Windows SSD hard disc has died and local repair shops have replaced but say I need to go to a specialist to recover the data.  Can anyone recommend any? Local or online.  I tried getting a quote from Fields Data Recovery but they were potentially hundreds of pounds.  I doubt my data is that important to me tbh but would be prepared to pay something more reasonable. Has anyone had any luck with this or do I need to accept that is the genuine cost?.
Thanks , Richard

It's never that cheap of a process, and SSDs are harder to recover, if you can plug the drive in to your pc and try running some of the free trial recovery tools and see how it goes, I wish you well with a recovery as it's an awful thing to happen to lose your data. Some places can quote for free on what they can recover but I can't remember the name of the top of my head. Always buy branded drives, there are alot of cowboys out there.

Thank you

Hi Richard

Hard drive data recovery main clients are businesses which don't mind to spend this amount of money to recover their stratigically important data. It sounds a bit cruel but this is how it is. As a domestic client you must be very desperated person to do this step. Take a few days break and after you will have better perspective if you really want to do it.

Thank you I think you are probably right.

Lond ago I saw the topic on the Microsoft website.

Possibly still there.

Also, try Google Chrome
