Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello

I have a 28" Panasonic television going spare; free to anyone who can collect.

It's one of these: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/crt-tv/panasonic-tx-28pk2/ - though without the stand.

The picture on it is excellent and it works perfectly. It has a remote control.

Collection only from Wood Green -- you'll need a car as it is quite large and heavy.

There's a very slight crack in the base to the front but it's not particularly obvious.

Send me a message / reply on here and let me know when you could collect. I'd rather move it sooner than later so while I'll do first come, first served, if you can collect very soon I'll give that preference. I hope that's not too unfair.

Many thanks

Aidan

Might be of interest to note that I had no takers at all for this. Others with CRT TVs to give away may do best to offer them into the the loving arms of Veolia's bulk waste service straight away rather than ask around first.

Probably few people saw your post - better to use harringay freecycle
It may work better for TVs on Freecycle, but many things go here on HoL pretty quickly. It's always worth giving your neighbours a shot first. Bear in mind, during the last week More than 6,000 different people visited the site. Things that appeal do tend to get snapped up.

That's what I thought, Hugh - between direct visitors and the Facebook and Twitter feeds, a fair few people would have seen it.

Maybe Freecyclers would have taken it. I suppose my point was, more specifically, that those wishing to offer CRT TVs on Harringayonline may find it quicker not to bother.

It's an interesting case study in the speed of technological advancement. I see that that television would have cost around £950 new in 2001. That's probably about £1300 in today's money. I bought a  television ten years later which is a fraction of the size and weight and is scarcely comparable in terms of features for less than a third of that.

Hi, os ot still available?

From 2012!??
