Interesting old bricks spotted on the Passage

The Parkside Malvern twiter account (run by the residents' association for the Hornsey Park area, just to the north of Turnpike Lane) yesterday tweeted to HoL about an interesting brick seen in the Harringay Passage "near Allison Road".
This morning Alex M shared a website he found on the internet that identified the bricks as a Cakemore Blue.
I've done a little more digging and offer an old advert from 1891 and a a piece by the British Brick Society Bulletin 98 (Soon, I'm sure to feature on Have I Got News...). The UK Named Bricks website offers more.
