Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Astrological / comix bookshop in late 50s early 60s at beginning of Turnpike Lane.

Does anyone remember the weird little bookshop filled with occult and astrological curiosities at the beginning of Turnpike Lane just past Hornsey High street in the shadow of the railway bridge?

I used to buy American comics there in the early 60s - the guy had a phrenologist's head in the window, Tarot cards etc? It was a real oddity looking back and one of the few places, as a 10 yr old I could buy and sell comics in the area.

Was this in the now long demolished terrace alongside the Unwin Arms?

I recall the phrenologists head so I must have used the shop; I read quantities of sci fi!
